We enjoyed a wonderful week at Caynham Forge in Aug 2024. The cottage is so well equipped with every possible convenience. We found it to be very clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed our stay so much - we are hoping to return in the near future. We would thoroughly recommend it!

A quality home from home, with so much thought and effort made for every detail. No compromise made with furniture and decor, despite being very dog friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend.

A fantastic Forge perfectly located for some fabulous walks all around the area.

We have just returned from a holiday here with friends (4 adults in total) from 11th to 18th June. The cottage was beautiful, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, beautifully furnished and very well kitted out. The owners have done a fantastic job in converting the former forge into a lovely holiday cottage with a high end finish throughout. Its surrounded by rolling hillsides and has 2 pretty courtyard areas where you can sit out to eat etc. It’s a 5 minute drive from Ludlow which has everything you could want from an eating out perspective. We would definitely come back to stay again in future and recommend it as a lovely base for a holiday.

Beautiful cottage, great location, very well equipped.

East Barn has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard. It felt like a home for home with all the creature comforts you could wish for. We like staying outside the cities/towns, when holidaying, as we find it more peaceful and relaxing, and Caynham didn't disappoint in that respect. However Ludlow is only a few miles away so it's an easy trip into town whenever you need to. Shropshire is a lovely county with lots to see and do. We will definitely stay at East Barn again when we decide to explore some more.

A beautiful barn that has been lovingly restored. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this magnificent gem. Perfect location, just a short drive from the beautiful town of Ludlow, and the Ludlow food hall!. We will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommended.

Recently we had a most enjoyable stay at Caynham Forge (East Barn). The barn has been thoughtfully and imaginatively renovated to a very high standard and is equally well furnished, providing excellent accommodation for up to six (we were five adults and a three month old baby). It is well equipped for self catering, with utensils of the highest quality. Alison and Keith, the owners, went out of their way to make us feel welcome and the setting of the barn was ideal, surrounded by fields and sheep, yet less than three miles from the centre of Ludlow. The beautiful Shropshire and Herefordshire countryside provides many opportunities for walking and visits, for example, Hay-on-Wye is less than an hour away. We hope to return in the new year; meanwhile we would highly recommend Caynham Forge.
